Running low on groceries and clean laundry. I swept the snow off the old van, I backed up a couple of more feet, so I could take a run at the five inches of fresh snow.<\/p>\n
A little of slippin and slidin later I was on my way. I noticed that she wasn’t shifting into high gear. So I gave a little thump on the pedal.<\/p>\n
Big mistake. The backend swung around beside me and almost put me in the ditch. I had no weight in the back. I had used all the wood pellets I keep back there for ballast.<\/p>\n
In the winter it serves two purposes, cat litter and extra weight for the van.<\/p>\n
I did what you are supposed to do when you start losing control in the snow. I managed to get her straightened out and onto the highway. Drove accordingly after that.<\/p>\n
I just wolfed down two sausage and egg buns. While I wait at the laundromat. Thankful there was free wifi, so I can type this.<\/p>\n
I got home safely backed my van in and got stuck in my driveway. I will deal with that another day. Got my groceries unloaded, made myself a coffee and started to watch a little online tv series.<\/p>\n
Oh yea and did what needed doing in the winter here. Chopped wood brought in snow water to melt.<\/p>\n
