Day two of the big snowstorm. Like I have said many times, a cellphone camera doesn’t capture snow falling. I will try again later with flash to see if that helps.<\/p>\n

I was out there gathering snow for melt. If you burn a wood fire as I do, you already know it is important to keep water on the woodstove, to keep up the humidity levels. If you don’t, everything gets very dry, very fast.<\/p>\n

The morning jobs are done, cats fed, coffee made, Fixin’s added. The back deck swept off, ready for the gen.<\/p>\n

I hesitate while drinking my coffee, trying to remember what time I started running the gen yesterday.\u00a0 I am sure I am not done my ten-hour breakin yet.<\/p>\n

Enough time to kill a Dictator, rescue a nice Asari lady, diverted an asteroid from killing millions, killed a million-year-old plant-based life form that was enslaving a colony, after coffee, I will continue and blow up a cloning facility on another planet. All in the comfort of my chair.<\/p>\n

What else do you do on a day it is too snowy to do much else, I mean besides the million inside things that need doing?<\/p>\n

I just checked the weather forecasts. The big snow that was supposed to happen isn’t, they say. I already have 3 inches out there, with more falling.<\/p>\n

Just north of me, there is a heavy snowfall warning, if the clouds just knew how to stick to the borders they set out for them on the Government weather website, I wouldn’t be concerned.<\/p>\n

I guess they didn’t check the weather rock, you know, the one they predict the weather with. If it’s wet, it’s raining. If it throws a shadow it’s sunny, and if they can’t find it, it is either buried in deep snow or a trucker has it. Time for the Emergency Measures act.<\/p>\n
