With cats fed and watered it was time to start another fire. It really wasn’t that cold, but enough for a fire, besides no fire no coffee. Good reason to get started.<\/p>\n

The kettle was full of filtered snow water. I had enough extra yesterday to pour some into the filter system.<\/p>\n

Yes the cats got filtered water too. The outside bird feeder was filled, so my winter birds would be taken care of. Like I have said many times here, it was a trade.<\/p>\n

I give them food and they sing when I go outside. They even warn me when a predator comes close. True story.<\/p>\n

I went all in with the fire. Every scrap of wood left in the fire room went in. I cut three small boards they went in too.<\/p>\n

Soon I would be gassing up the gen. There really wasn’t going to be much sun for the next few days.<\/p>\n

With the kettle getting warm, it was time for the next chore. Today I am going to leave it at that.
