They should be at 7 amps normally, and get up to 12 amps in the right weather.

The new panels will add to that. I hope double. I still need a bit more wire and I need another piece of EMT tubing for the solar panel angle device. I am not sure how to attach that to the main pole yet. On the solar panel side no problem.

I purchased a set of clamps to help mount my Starlink, but chose another method. I will attach that to te bottom crossbar. One may not be enough. I will have to real world test it.

I may need more clamps. Designs are suddenly pouring into my mind as I type. Thats the way it happens with me.

I went to the village this morning, to pick up my catfood package and my tuna order. I would be living on that for the next 10 days. I have the staples. I won’t starve. My selection won’t be exciting.

Ramen, pasta, beans and as I mentioned tuna. BTW there is a tuna shortage, either because of overfishing or there are millions of cans hiding in a warehouse pushing prices up. For me both are viable answers.

I should have enough catfood to last the month that at least was a better price. The bank account is empty, and so was my van. I didn’t realize my fuel tank was running on empty. I had a 20 liter can of fuel with me. I would have been okay.

The reason for my skinny food supply, solar panels, hardware, wire, MPPT controller, and higher price of food. Was it worth it? Yes it needed doing.

The new panels are not outside yet, in another 3 weeks I hope. I need another 2 panels. Then I can mount them all at once inside the dry shop. I might not wait. I might mount the two exsisting panels now to save fuel for the generator.

It also might be time to disassemble my exsisting solar panel mounts in order to put the more powerful panels in better location. I hope before the snow. right now they are at ground level just leaning on an old wooden stand.

Whats next? Heating. I dont think I have lungs to chainsaw and chop wood. It would also mean weekends of hunting for wood along the roadsides. I usually have a logging truck full of wood delivered. I chose solar panels this year instead.

I have been researching the cheap Chinese deisel heaters on Amazon. From China I can order one that heats water at the same time. Beside hot baths there is a potential for old style metal radiators.

Way to go Environment Canada now they released an air quality warning.
