A battery by definition is a collection of cells. So the cell is a little can of chemicals. And the challenge is taking a very high-energy cell, and a large number of them, and combining them safely into a large battery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s 2 AM in the morning. Sleep evades me, episodes of Cheers keeps my mind occupied. Later this morning I will go to pickup my LFP. If the fog is gone.<\/p>\n

I am back from the village, my new battery is in place, not connected. I have to make sure both are fully charged before I attempt that. For now I will charge the top one then disconnect and hookup the bottom one as the main one. I would like to see if there is a measurable difference.<\/p>\n

The plan is to hookup both tommorrow.<\/p>\n

Next after cold brew coffee, breakfast and vitamins, get gasoline for the gen. That has an added difficulty. I parked the van tight as I could to the right of the garage. So tight I could barely get out of the drivers side. That is where the gas filling station is. My only hope is that it is empty so I can move the whole thing.<\/p>\n

Even that will be difficult to get at. I parked that so it would easier to get the battery off the passenger seat.<\/p>\n

To move the van is 20 minutes of work to get the garage doors open and Gracie started then moved out and in again. After that close everything up again.<\/p>\n

Now I am going to have that breakfast.<\/p>\n

After squeezing in between my van and counter and moving the gas filling station, then moving another\u00a05 gallon can to fill two 1 gallon cans , the Gen is gassed and running, the top battery is charging and at 84%. As soon as that is at 100% I will charge the bottom one.<\/p>\n

Total Lithium Iron Phosphate watt hours :5300.\u00a0 That should get me through most cloudy days. I am excited about that. I will still need more solar and that will eventually\u00a0 be ordered.<\/p>\n
