Cold is merciless. It shows you where you are. What you are.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am laying in bed trying to recuperate from this morning chores.\u00a0 Catching my breath is difficult. My back is in screaming pain.<\/p>\n

The good news is cats are fed and watered, fire is started, one big block of ice, a water bottle brought up to thaw. One more to go. Catfood was brought up from the van, firewood brought down.<\/p>\n

I need to go out and sweep solar panels, maybe carry a 5 gallon can up for the gen. I could run it today for a few hours, but definitly not for the next two days.<\/p>\n

I also need to find more firewood. I think there is an old 2×10 by the solar panels.<\/p>\n

Well it’s back to work. It’s done.\u00a0 All of it. Even filled a big bowl of snow and put it on for melt. Solar panels are producing 9 Amps of power. After seeing that I decided not to run the gen. That turned out to be a good decision. It didn’t get warmer, it got colder.<\/p>\n

That would have been bad for the gen. I don’t think we will see the -25 warm up today.\u00a0 We are heading for 40 below and probably worse.<\/p>\n

Water for cofffee is on and breakfast,\u00a0 that is well earned today.\u00a0 If I see my solar batteries hit 85% today I will shoot a few criminals later. Be safe stay warm.<\/p>\n
