I went out this morning to check out the fresh snow I noticed a couple of deer out in the field across from me. I watched them for a while in the early morning light. I noticed that they were circling each other. I realized I was witnessing deer fighting for the right to mate. As I looked around I could see a few female deer huddled in the field awaiting the victor.<\/p>\n

I had seen videos and some documentaries but never had I seen this in person.<\/p>\n

It was a little awe-inspiring, knowing that life goes on for them against overwhelming odds, drunken hunters at every turn, big farming destroying their habitat. Trucks mowing down countless numbers.<\/p>\n

It was a nice break but I didn’t want to interrupt, so I snapped my morning pics, checked the frozen puddles and went back inside.\u00a0 I made the decision to wait before venturing out. No hospital today, but I was out of cat food and needed to make the trip into town at least.<\/p>\n

After checking through road reports and highway-cams I learned that I\u00a0 had made the right decision. Snowy roads I can handle but Ice that’s an entirely different thing altogether. Before I head out on the highway with my old rusty Chevrolet. (technically a GMC. Which doesn’t start lately) Poor old Gracie needs to be brought into the shop I haven’t finished cleaning yet.<\/p>\n

I need to pour a little gas down her throat to get her to fire. I have read it could be the pressure regulator, yuck. Inside the engine in a cramped location, laying for hours in a twisted position on my broken back or worse the fuel pump check valve inside the gas tank. The easiest way to fix that, cut a hole in the floor of the van, without cutting fuel lines or gas tank, trying to survive the explosion and house fire and replace the fuel pump. I miss the old days A fuel pump replacement on an SBC (small block Chevy) was a ten-minute job.<\/p>\n

Now I will have to wait until the next round of parts to arrive. They should arrive just in time for the cold weather. Yippee I get to lay down on cold cement. I really need it to be a little warmer.<\/p>\n

Update<\/strong>: I poured gas down Gracie’s throat turned the key a couple of sputters and the old girl fired up.<\/p>\n

I drove into my local hospital and saw the mega lineup. I decided to carry on to the next city hospital. Ineeded to stretch the last of my money as far as I can. Groceries and cat food are a lot cheaper here.<\/p>\n

Here I am again doing my favorite thing, sitting in a hospital waiting room. Bp was higher than normal. Temp lower pulse at what I normally is lately. BP 143\/85 pulse 73 temp 36.<\/p>\n

I feel nauseous, could be the illness, could be the fast food I had along the way. It could be the head injury. The other day I moved a ladder, there was a hammer on top 5 feet above my head.<\/p>\n

That is what the hammer hit. The impact was somewhere at the back of my head. But that is all I remember. Everything after the impact is blank.<\/p>\n

I kept working I am sure of that. Cause there was work done. But I don’t remember what I did.<\/p>\n

I can remember the next day, so I wasn’t worried about it. At least until I read about amnesia and conclusions. That is the reason I am here.<\/p>\n

That and to talk about the results of my pulmonary test. They mention an interstitial lung disease.<\/p>\n

So I read about that and sure enough, asbestos is is mentioned.<\/p>\n

Back to my days in the Canadian military and a month grinding insulation out of the hull of my warship. No masks were given.<\/p>\n

Second Update: way too angry to write I was refused medical help at Peace river hospital. I look back at my hospital visits and they are all bad something is not right.<\/p>\n
