Today was the day I decided to take the old deck down. It wasn’t that I was feeling better or full of energy. It was that I decided to get that done.\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I woke to the sound of a enormous\u00a0 downpour, great another delay. I wait until afternoon, things were drying out I could see patches of blue sky.\u00a0 I gathered my tools, I went outside and started my demo. The deck was rotten, I was sold popular wood years ago and told by the seller it would be great wood for that. Maybe in Arizona, in Alberta it rots in the snow and rain.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I managed to get the deck away from the wall and almost down. Then I heard and felt a huge thunderclap. I knew what was next. I put my tools inside the door now three feet up and climbed up best I could as I felt the first raindrops hit my back.<\/p>\n

Within seconds of the door closing God unleashed hell, raindrops the size of small marbles that turned to hail. It didn’t matter, I managed to get it started. The deck was away from the wall. I gave a lot of blood to mosquito’s frantic to feed while I worked at tearing the old deck apart.<\/p>\n

I have been trying to start that job since spring. I suffered one delay after another, health, weather, hospital visits. So at least now it is started. It might be awhile before I do more. We have a week of heavy rain forecast.<\/p>\n

It has at least begun.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
