\u201cWhat would you do Mr. President if an Alien race were to give you advanced technology way beyond anything you ever imagined. Would you give it to a people just reaching for the stars or would you hold it back?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCristian that kind of technology and power too soon could destroy a people not ready for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He walked over and handed the President a small metallic cube with strange writing on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt contains the complete knowledge of the Gray.\u201d<\/p>\n

He immediately handed the cube back. \u201cI don’t know that exists and I don’t want to know what happens to that. That is by far the most dangerous device I have ever touched.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cExactly my take on it. You and a few others are the only ones that know about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the Gray erase the memories from two of my men because they heard the original conversation. Don’t worry they were asked for permission and they only lost five minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking on converting my ship and getting crews quarters ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have pizza and Chinese Food coming actually Charles is taking care of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLucy after the President has exited the ship come back aboard and guard the entrance with Ethel.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCristian, Tuseer said you were looking for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, Charles. The president was here but has left. I hear you are buying dinner?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYup it’s on its way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is exciting Cristian. This ship is huge. The entire ISS could fit inside the landing bay with room to spare. You need a crew.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, Charles.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are the right man to fill this ship with people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lizards were not the threat on Earth. Only their scapegoats.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWatcher update all the staff make sure they hear about Tuseer. Repeat some of my earlier words.\u201d<\/p>\n

One by one everyone went to meet Tuseer. No one had any doubts or harboured any resentment against her. If Cristian vouched for her that was all they needed, this war was over.<\/p>\n

\u201cTuseer I never asked about your dietary requirements?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will eat what you eat Cristian. I\u00a0 eat vegetation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know there will be vegetarian Pizza in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLarry, how did the press release go?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe entire world is celebrating Cristian.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to the ship AI it is the biggest in the fleet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAccommodating Cristian. Apparently, it was left with orders to answer all of your needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWatcher dive deep into the programming and look for traps and hidden subroutines. Firewall yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOn it Cristian,\u201d said Watcher.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan we replace the programming with our own?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNot without losing the ship functions Cristian.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCan we offload the data to somewhere else until we can check it out?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI could create a virtual drive in one of the M series data storage units. Move the data over search for problems and then load it back in when it is done.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWatcher when can we replace the programming with our own?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI would need twenty-four hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCan we fly in the meantime?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo Cristian we would be grounded.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to relocate the ship, the world knows where we are.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles is still on board Cristian.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe take him. I will talk to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain Wolf we need to take off immediately and bring Charles to the bridge, a couple more pieces of pizza would be good too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTuseer retract the loading ramp and prepare for take-off.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLucy, Ethel come inside we are leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles, we are taking a little trip any objections?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNope, I am in.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain Wolf let’s take off.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWatcher take us out\u201d said the new captain.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere to Captain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo space Watcher.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAye Captain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst Leader do you have a destination?\u201d Asked Lorelei.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cat’s sweetie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKamloops Watcher. Don’t spare the fuel. Land us on the Plateau.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWatcher thank you. My wife is very excited about being a captain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo problem Cristian. I will start the refit as soon as we are landed. I will get Lucy and Ethel to guard. Alfred and Callahan will help with the refit. You need some sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRoger that Watcher,\u201d said Cristian \u201cTuseer come to the bridge?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, Cristian on my way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSweetie thanks for letting me play Captain, it’s fun. I know the ship is really yours and that you needed to keep it in the family and not lose it to the next First Leader\u201d said Lorelei.<\/p>\n

Cristian walked over to the prettiest redhead on the bridge and kissed her long and hard. Then he whispered something that would change them\u00a0forever. \u201cThe ship is yours and you are the Captain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes First Leader. Can we live on the ship sweetie?\u201d said a very excited Captain.<\/p>\n

He switched to private comm \u201cAs soon as the refit is done? Watcher and the mechanicals are going to replace the Reticulan AI just to be safe. If that is okay Captain. Keep it to yourself. We need to move the AI off the ship before it knows what is happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you think we should. I trust you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, we did the same for our other ships, Lorelei Wolf, Captain of the Starship S\u00e9adhna.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain we are approaching the Plateau.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSound the brace for landing warning Watcher.\u00a0Will the ground support her weight?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSolid granite Captain\u201d answered the pocket watch.<\/p>\n

\u201cExtend struts and touch the ground, Watcher.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShut down the engines and extend the loading ramp. Open the bay doors. Tell everyone we are home.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNicely done Captain Wolf.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you Tuseer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain I will meet you inside,\u201d said the very proud First Leader.<\/p>\n

\u201cTuseer come see our Base?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes First Leader.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSargent Major Protect the ship and set up a perimeter Humvees and Stryker. This ship may come under attack, the threat now is human. The ship will be vulnerable for the next twenty-four. Use Raguel and Uriel for air support if you need it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnderstood we are on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLucy and Ethel will guard the entrance to the ship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTiffany we will need lodging for Tuseer and Charles.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGot it Cristian\u201d answered Tiffany.<\/p>\n

\u201cMake sure that the chef knows she is vegetarian.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a short trip to the warehouse and down the elevator Tuseer, Charles and Cristian walked into the Cafeteria.<\/p>\n

Most of the scientists were already inside. A few more of them approached Tuseer and welcomed her into the fold.\u00a0Tuseer was surprised that she was accepted so easily into their community considering yesterday she was a mortal enemy.<\/p>\n

\u201cCristian I can’t believe that everyone here is accepting me as one of the staff so easily.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTuseer they are a remarkable bunch of people. I am very proud of them. Be careful though I have not had a chance to talk to everyone directly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCallahan please get some armour built for Tuseer as soon as possible. I fear for her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnderstood.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cE3 you still kicking?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCristian I thought you forgot about me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNope just have a lot more people to deal with now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYour name comes from two individuals. One was the Comedienne Gracie Allen. The other was the bravest soul I ever met in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Cristian. No one will touch Tuseer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen thank you, Gracie. She may save the humans one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTuseer My name is Gracie. Cristian asked me to watch over you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat isn’t necessary Gracie everyone here is safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTuseer the object was your safety. I could use the company and I follow Cristian\u2019s orders as I am sure you do?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI do and would like the company. They have me on the second floor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I just wanted to talk to you directly about Science Officer Tuseer.\u201d<\/p>\n

He walked into a darkened room and left the lights off. When he got to his bed it wasn’t his anymore but Tiffany’s. \u201cI seem to be in the wrong room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lorelei had to remove his clothing because he was out before his head hit the pillow. The cats crawled in beside him and fell asleep, Lorelei soon after.<\/p>\n
