Friday night I waited an hour and a half in a parking lot for a friend to show up with his much needed pick me up truck. I didn’t think my Jeep would haul the twenty foot metal\u00a0monster\u00a0still filled with gravel and wood chips.\"20130309_164942\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I got to admit I wondered if this is the direction I should go in for a few seconds. The first man that was supposed to move the trailer broke his leg a day before delivery. Then I got the no show.<\/p>\n

Saturday I got a call pickup truck was on its way.<\/p>\n

We hooked up and away we went I followed. I noticed one wheel wobbling on the trailer. I stopped to have a look. Nothing could be done. We kept driving, 30 klicks later we arrived in my driveway.<\/p>\n

We used the two dollys up front to lift the trailer of the pick up hitch. Disaster looming, of the dollys started to lean in a very bad direction. My log pile was close. I grabbed an eighty pound log and threw it under the frame before it fell to the ground.<\/p>\n

The weld had broke on the dolly mount. No problem it was slated for removal as it was in the way of my tiny house design.\"20130309_172759\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After looking at how narrow 8 feet was I decided to\u00a0revisit\u00a0my design. First stop the\u00a0Government\u00a0of Alberta website to see how much wider I could go. \u00a0Remembering passing an oil rig on the move it was\u00a0definitely\u00a0wider than eight foot five.<\/p>\n

After checking the regs. I could fit \u00a0the next\u00a0trailer\u00a0size with minimal trouble. Under ten feet just requires a wide load sign. No flashing lights or pilot car.<\/p>\n

So I spend the night redesigning to fit ten feet. Much better. Doesn’t sound like much \u00a0but it is.<\/p>\n
