Y<\/a>\"20130602_133313\"<\/a>esterday I spent the day getting my wood work shop cleaned and ready for the cutting. I needed to cut 16 foot two by tens down to 9″9″ to further mill them down to make parts for my  I beam floor joists.<\/p>\n

I was left over with almost the right length for the center sections. With only an inch of waste. I wish I could tell you that I planned it that way. I was lucky.<\/p>\n

After a couple hours of work including gluing up some cracks in the ends of the wood, I had some center section boards and some boards ready to rip into smaller boards to use as the tops and bottoms on the floor joists.<\/p>\n

Once I have the parts then the real work starts. I start with a two by four that I finesse into the c channel  bottom of the frame. Then i glue and screw a 74 inch section of two by ten to the two by four. That section gets bolted to the cross member.<\/p>\n

Next step is to bolt  and glue a 9″9″ two by three to the two by four at the bottom.<\/p>\n

Now I am ready to add a filler board to the top of the frames rails that runs the entire length.  Just about there now. I add some two by tens to the \"\"<\/a>frame rails in order to extend the trailer two feet. They are bolted and doubled to support the weight.<\/p>\n

All is left is build a few boxes made of two by tens. They will make up the outside the frame sections. Those will be bolted, screwed and glued to the rest of the I beam floor joists.<\/p>\n

Finally the top two by threes are added to the tops crewed and glued. Hopefully when I am done I will have a structure that will hold the weight.<\/p>\n
