Heaven cannot brook two suns, nor earth two masters.

Alexander the Great

I just learned about these a few days ago. Solar panels that can make power from both sides. Exciting news for me.

The new Starlink/solar panel Pole mount was ideal for this kind of panel. The pipe across was ten feet, each panel was 27.5 inches wide. Plenty of room for four. I haven’t invented a way to do the angle yet but soon will.

Don’t worry, the pole will be level when I am done.

I am fond of free shipping as well, so I started to look on Amazon. I could only find 12v 220w panels, they were $199 each for a few days, then jumped to $250. The brand was Lumera.

I did a little research as I always do now after over paying a few times. The Manufacturer, Lumera Solar was located in Surrey, B.C. where I grew up. I sent a few emails to get information. Chris Voutte answered a few of those emails, then emails started to bounce back, so I called him by telephone to get more information.

During my research, I found a company located about 6 hours south of me by motorcycle.  Solarsuperstore.ca in Edmonton. They sold a Lumera 24v 220w panel. So I asked.  Chris told me that they were manufactured exclusively for The Solar Superstore.

He was kind enough to send an email back, introducing me to Dale Rowe. My Bluetti was randomly shutting down AC and my Starlink this morning. So I called and talked to Dale on the phone. He spent time telling about the products they sold, he was very courteous and friendly, something that doesn’t happen much in the real world.

I already knew that I was going to invest in the Lumera made panels. The price was good, shipping was reasonable.

Now I just have to wait for money to come in at the end of the month. Each panel was $250 plus $31 shipping and $12.50 in Tax making the total $293.47 per panel.  I needed four, but would have to buy a couple at a time. Unless I wanted to give up groceries.

I have said this before, I do not do paid promotions. I will be paying for these panels out of my pension.

The specs for the panels. I should mention that the specs and image were taken from the Solar Superstore website without permission. If asked, I would remove them.

And now pictures

I will do a review of the panels after I receive them.
