They knew. They knew I was going to assemble my stove cover and open all the plastic and assemble the stove they knew.
I checked the stove every day for signs of the terrible thing they do. It is why I built the stove cover. Since I got the stove home I knew there was a danger with cats.

I took apart the stove cover brought down all the parts from the wood work shop. I reassembled all the pieces. Then I went to peel the plastic cover I had left there, and that’s when I saw it. A puddle of piss on the top of the stove. They had scratched enough plastic away so the pee would seep down to the stove top. Thank God that is sealed. They waited till last night to do this. They knew I would be putting on the cover today.

The cover is on. all the pee soaked parts are washed. The cover is over the stove. I have plans to immediately paint the top with clear coat. To stop any further attacks. Why do I keep them? Because I am all that they have. They are my responsibility.

I have a lofty goal of building a maple butcher block for the top. I have some maple logs that have been drying for ten years, but they are logs not boards yet. I will have to build an extension table for the band saw and a jig to hold the logs for resawing. That will take a few days just to get ready.

Next I need to address the water situation, it is raining outside but all the cats bowls are empty and I might have enough water left in the kettle for one more coffee. I remembered there is a concentration point where the water from three roofs drains. It took about three minutes to fill the cats bowls. That gives me a little breathing room. Today the cats are drinking rainwater. Thanks to the one that sent the rain.  In the near future we will all be drinking  filtered fresh water.

I can assemble the filter unit later today. I do have a one gallon jug of distilled I can use that to prime the berkey filters.
Hope it all works out.
