I am filtering water. Sad about the results. I got through a half gallon of water and the Berkey filters quit. I did the priming that worked out.
The filtered water is flowing slower than a dripping tap. I am guessing the sediment is too much for the filters. I don’t have the sediment filter inline yet, this was just a test to see how the filters worked.
I am very disappointed at the results. I got one cup of coffee and the cats got a little filtered water. The filters have been running for five hours.
I have clear plastic hoses attached to the filters, so I can watch the flow rates.
It started out slow then got worse. The conclusion is, the new $163 dollar’s plus another $150 for fittings was a complete waste of money. I estimate the filters will stop working completely in another hour. Tomorrow I will try cleaning the filters and re priming.
