“I painted one dining room red and I must say, the conversation became very heated in that room.”

Amanda Pays

I have been dreaming about a bright red woodstove since I saw one online. So for weeks I looked for paint that might make the grade. A high heat paint. I found some 2000 degree F VHT very high temperature Paint. I read the instructions online followed them. Right up to stage three. I lit a fire in the stove with a bit of kindling. Since the paint did so well with the preliminary stages I assumed it would be okay to leave the small bit of kindling burn.

I went onto play a little on my Xbox. I looked up and realized my house was filled with smoke. The paint failed and the red colour now turned to purple. Looking back should have just stuck to black or read some reviews I found, others had the same failures with that paint. How fuck does that company get away with that shit?

I am a little concerned as to what is going to happen when I light a real fire in there. I will most likely have to run a fan full time until all the paint burns purple. I am not looking forward to that.

Disappointed I was going to actually paint a flame job on the stove. What it’s appropriate it’s a woodstove. Gone are the visions of painting a flame job on the headers of my 55 1st series Chevy pickup.

Here are the pictures

Imagine the smoke when I light a real fire and the color

Here is someone else also had a VHT Failure. I found others the same.
