“Take your dying with some seriousness, however. Laughing on the way to your execution is not generally understood by less-advanced life-forms, and they’ll call you crazy.”
Richard Bach
Well, today is the day, I need to chainsaw and chop. No choice it is freezing in the house and it is going to get colder by tonight.
Hopefully, the blood clot in my leg or my lungs or brain doesn’t kill me. Am I sure they are there? Nope.
It does explain the warmness in my right calf, especially when I sit in the chair that I spend too many hours in. It also explains the difficulty of breathing and sudden headaches that I have been plagued with in the last few weeks.
What can I do about it, a doctor will prescribe Warfarin, a rat poison originally made from moldy sweet clover, with a huge list of side effects. I don’t want it, I will keep up with aspirin, curcumin and more exercise. Including getting out of my chair more often.
Today will be a test of how bad things are. It may end me I hope not. If it is, it is, hope someone will take care of the cats.
Chainsawing is done. It was easier than I remembered. I still huffin and puffin and my heart hurts a little. I am going to take break before I try chopping. I remember now why I bought a really good chainsaw because after sitting all spring and summer it started and ran. I think some logs I cut today will be too heavy for me to try to lift today, so when I go back out I will look for the smaller stuff, I cut for this purpose.
UPDATE: A special weather statement just released a drop in temperature of 20 c expected and snow. So thankful I was able to get some firewood together.
I was a little amazed when I listened to the song below today, especially when he talks about shortness of breath and keeping the fires lit. Warren died of a lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Something I worry about, I was exposed when I was in the Canadian Navy. I had a chest Xray done a few days ago, but I just read that the disease may not show on Xrays at first. If I do have that I have less than a year to live.
And to make things more interesting I just found a mole on my forehead that is itchy and looks ugly. And now another one on my big toe. It never rains it pours.
Take care and be safe
