“Always the cat remains a little beyond the limits we try to set for him in our blind folly.”

Andre Norton

Today seems to be another one of those days the pain in my body exceeds the ability to act on ambitions.

In plain English performing even the smallest tasks near impossible. Thank god it is relatively warm. I won’t need to do firewood today.

I spent an hour doing a job I had been putting off.

Making my kitchen cat-proof. After almost stepping in some and watching the perp scale a ten foot wood wall and parkour to safety after doing the deed. I decided that was enough.

I found some OSB cut it to size. I scaled a ladder holding the board over my head and screwed it to the wall. While I was up there I noticed a few holes that a skinny cat could wiggle through.

After searching, I laid hands on some wood scraps and patched the holes too.

The big cats wouldn’t be leaving any steamy land mines in my kitchen.
The little kittens were another issue. When I built the wall I purposely left gaps to allow heat and air circulation. Yea you guessed it little kittens could get through.

Soon they would be too big. For now, they only leave tiny presents for me.
