I am staring at a flashing cursor and a blank screen. I just had my morning coffee and my dehydrated scrambled eggs. I bought a bucket full of pre-made meals meant for camping or the zombie apocalypse.
Surprisingly they are very tasty and convenient. Just add hot water to the Mylar bag after removing the oxygen-absorbing packet. Wait a few minutes and eat. No prep no dishes. Perfect for a bachelor living in the woods without refrigeration. 20-year shelf life.
Only con a bit pricey $12.00 per meal, if you buy a sampler bucket from Costco, but that is delivered to my post office. You can choose your own meals from Amazon but the price jumps to 14 dollars per meal.
So far the meals are excellent, even the scrambled eggs and bacon, my least favourite of the meals, only because the portions were small. I am a little spoiled, I used to raise my own chickens. Some things are just better fresh.
Especially if you know what has been added or not.
