“The highest revelation is that God is in every man.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Snowed heavy still snowing. Yup need the snowblower running but I want the snow to stop coming down first. I will probably need firewood, I may have to bring in one log at a time or just cut a path through the snow with a shovel. That ain’t gonna happen, some snowdrifts are four feet high.
The truth is once the blower is running I like to keep going, get the job finished. So I can’t just start it and cut a path. I do have a toboggan I could move firewood on that. I am sure it is buried in the snow, where my kids left it ten years ago. I am sure it would take more time and work to find it than just start the blower.
Ya I know that is on me.
The plan is to start the blower just cut a path from the woodpile to the back door. I need to conserve some strength because I also have to chainsaw wood in deep snow, transport to the splitter, gas up the gen, which I also need to start the blower. Split wood transport it inside and have a warm fire.
I know what you are thinking a couple of days ago I wrote about falling on the sheet metal roof injuring my spine, my knee and re-injuring the broken toe. Ya, so what, life is hard sometimes.
My life is hard all the time. I am going to get dressed for the outside, I have to I am out of battery on my tablet. Whine at you later.
-23 with the windchill snow blowing on a cold and windy day, can’t wait.
And God spoke to the broken man about to get dressed to go out and move snow. “Open your eyes and see what I have sent down to you”.
The old man looked out and saw snow falling like has never been seen before. He knew God had told him to wait. So he did.
The word Of Rod
That was insane. I managed to get a path cut to the woodpile. Somehow forgot to turn on the hand warmers. Frozen fingertips. I had to come in from playing in the snow. It was deep.
Back out there soon to chainsaw.-23 my fingers never froze that fast before.chainsaw, split and bring in done. Now it’s warm out there. Go figure. Just as I moved the split wood out of the shop I caught a finger between the door and a steel pole. Not sure but it feels broke. It sure wasn’t happy when I bumped it taking off my winter clothes. I should go back out and finish the driveway but I ain’t.
I am done, the final toll a broken finger now splinted and my $7.99 on sale Canadian Tire wooden handled corn broom broken for the fourth time. Yup it is own it’s way to be repaired again.
All in all not a bad day. I spoke too soon having an ocular migraine. Just a jagged highlight in my vision. It will go in twenty minutes.
