I admit to wasting my life messing around with fast cars and motorcycles.

I find that I am a product of my past. Past TV episodes anyways. I am watching old episodes of Have Gun Will Travel and the original Perry Mason.

Both series started airing a few weeks before I was born.it was a different time, a different world.

Gas station employees filled your tank, checked the oil and even checked the air in your tires. We rode in the back of pickup trucks and didn’t wear helmets riding our bicycles.

There was only a handful of TV series but there were 30 or more episodes per year.

In the 60’s most TV heroes were named Jim. There was James T. Kirk, James West,  and the next decade gave us  Jim Rockford. OMG!! I just saw George Takei on Perry Mason, its all connected.

I realize now where my love of the old west, space and fast cars came from. And to my surprise, Roddenberry wrote episodes for at least two of those series.
And yes I loved Bullit, Vanishing Point, even had my time outrunning the law in high-speed chases. Got the broken bones to prove that. I did own a few Harley’s even built a chopper once. I did get to ride through the top end of America, seen Rushmore, watched Close encounters of the third kind at the campsite at Devils Tower. I did make a quick appearance at Sturgis, crowds just not my thing. I do miss two wheels.

I grew up a rebel and now I am paying for that.

Don’t forget old trucks
