I had to do my yearly pilgrimage out for the bloom of my Peonies. I fed the vicious end of season vampire mosquitos, extremely aggressive and the bites feel the same as fire ants. Usually, the finish in early June but the weather has kept them going till now. They come in great swarms, and they are the size of seagulls. Ok, I am exaggerating a bit, but not about the bites and aggressiveness. In ten minutes I got a hundred bites or more. They are a bigger breed of mosquito that does not hover and tease before biting, they dive straight in like a falcon diving for prey and bite.
Right now as I type I have to concentrate hard on not scratching the bite marks to make them worse if I can do that for a half hour the pain will be gone.
Now about the peonies. They are special because my x wife tried to steal them, I found a shovel left by a big hole in the ground where they should be. That year blooms showed up next to the hole. Both the flowers and I survived her. And every year I get to smile when they bloom. She took everything else from me but missed the flowers.
I am concerned I just did my temp it is up 37.1 I may not be safe yet. Dry cough just came back.
