Morning chores are done except pour canned milk into coffee. Ya I know that must be a sin of some sort. I am sure it would have been added to the stone tablets was there was any room left. I have powdered whole milk at the post office I just haven’t been there yet. Today is just about getting ready.
I went to town to get cat food for the cats, and a chicken Blt for me I drove home. I am tired out just one hour of driving today, tomorrow I need to do four hours of driving, plus 2 two hours of shopping and another few hours to flush my internals with radioactive chalk, so they can irradiate my body even more. That will be fun. Oh yea I forgot as always there was a new outbreak of COVID-19 there Friday at the hospital.
I am laying on my back deck. Yes, the one I am building. Enjoying the sun.
Then I heard it, the sounds that means the end of summer. Sandhill cranes above me. On their way south to Texas so the redneck Trump supporters can shoot them for fun.
I remember one year there so many above me that the noise was deafening. I was so amazed at the display I was just standing there with my mouth wide open. The pictures below were used without permission. If you are the owner and would like me to remove them no problem.
After pondering that for a moment, I thought ten thousand birds with a four-foot wingspan flying directly overhead. I quickly closed my mouth and reached for a hat.
Every year they circle right over my house. It is one of their meeting places.
