No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.

Kept the fire fed throughout the night. That kept the house warm but presents me with another problem. I need more wood cut and split.

3 inches of snow fell overnight while I struggled with the alarms to get me up to put wood in. Add the complication is my winter sliver right in the middle of my heel.

Seems to show up regular every winter making it impossible to walk, 9like the damaged knees and muscle weakness was not enough.

I fed all the cats and birds, gave them water. No sign of the little kittens. I might not see them again, bitter cold tonight.

While I was out there I swept the solar panels, a ritual I think there would be no solar generation with the snowstorm happening.

I was going to keep going, start the wood cutting and splitting before the snow was too deep. Then admitted it was already too deep. Pushing the wheelbarrow through that was going to be a challenge no matter what.

So I decided coffee and cereal would come now.
While I wait for the water to get hot on the woodstove, I thought I could put some words down.

My friends coming in for a meal.  They paid for their meal ahead of time with some song.

I am looking out the window as I pour my coffee. The wind has whipped up fierce, blowing the snow everywhere. My day gets funner and funner. Oh well, deal with that after coffee.

Having that coffee, I had to supplement my powdered whole milk with some Costco fortified almond milk. Yuck. I was running low on powdered milk it was coming but that would have to wait until after quarantine, as my dry cough reminded me. Coffee still tastes great nothing like coffee heated on the woodstove.

I went out and chainsawed wood in the wind. Got that job done. The wood is unloaded and ready for split. I had to take a break, the symptoms have me beat for now,

Shortness of breath
Muscle pain
Dry cough
Fatigue
Headaches
Joint pain

Throat pain

I checked my 02 seems ok. No fever, unless the cold is masking that.

I am going to rest for a while and try to do the split and transport later. That includes fueling up and starting the gen outside. Then comes the splitting reloading and then back out in the deep snow with a load. Then all that is left is get the load up a ramp into the fireroom without losing a cat to the cold. No problem.

I have rested as long as I can. I am going out to do the work. Needs doing.
