We aim above the mark to hit the mark.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

It is a Sunday. I haven’t had coffee, the fire is barely burning, but the cats are fed and watered. It is almost noon. I still have a few chores then I will spend the day relaxing.

More chores are done but not enough yet. Cat litter bag has been carried in from the garage and distributed to three smaller containers.  Then I refilled the boy’s room litter boxes with fresh litter. The boy’s room floor is swept, they got freshwater, and they thanked me by peeing on my milk crate. The one I sit on to spend time with the boys.

I have a very evil orange cat in there. Yesterday we walked up and peed on my leg and then disappeared through a very small hole in the ceiling. When I got the ten-foot ladder up there to have a look, all the insulation had been destroyed. I was wondering why my loft was getting so warm and so cold.  This wasn’t an easy fix. I would have to either wait till spring and remove roofing and OSB or remove the OSB ceiling in the loft and remove and replace the damaged insulation. Either way, it would be a big job.

Just add that to the list.

Soon I would have to gas up the generator. The gen was running very rough, it needed a complete rebuild something way above my skill level and was too expensive for me to have done. I ordered a cheap underpowered gen from Amazon I will see if it will do at least some things I needed doing.  That money came out of the food budget.

I needed to transfer water from the tank to the 5-gallon containers. At least for now I wasn’t gathering and melting snow water. That would come soon enough.

Update generator died. I will try to start it tomorrow.

This isnt the evil one, this is a recent rescue the fluffster.
