Courage is grace under pressure.

Another month has gone by and from what I, see in the forecasts that was the easy month.
I guess the sky and my snowplow driver are correct. (Read yesterday’s post here) We are now under a heavy snowfall warning. Only now the amounts are double.
I got to get to town before that. And before the deep freeze arrives later this week. I need the cat food that arrived a few days ago. I have only a few days worth left. My big challenge will be to get old Gracie down my driveway with the snow that is already there. I contemplated waiting, but another storm is about to hit Thursday again.
It doesn’t make sense to clean the driveway before a big storm. That is a waste of rendered dinosaurs.
Well me and Gracie made the run into the village and then into town. I picked up my cat food order, we couldn’t wait for the puro man to get to town it looked like snow was gonna happen. So we left to come home.
I did manage to pick up a few groceries. I paid with end of the month money. You know the kind that jingles in your pocket. While at the till I counted out 40 dollars before I knew the total, the total came to $39.80. Huh !!
I remembered my emergency stash of 5 dollar bills in a secret pocket of my leather Jacket and had enough for a Beyond Meat burger, fries and a coffee. I still had 3 bucks left. woo hoo
I noticed that the needle was pointing to E. I said a few words, and somehow we managed to get home and get her into the garage. I don’t think I want to venture out again without adding some gas. I am sure the tank was dry. But here we are at home safe and warm. I would have to go out and split the rest of the wood I cut yesterday. My body hurts from yesterday’s effort. I would have to cut more during the first of two big snowstorms heading my way.
I am ok with that. We got to town and back again, and I am alive, Gracie is tucked into her home.
Wood is chopped now I hurt.
