I work as long as I need to work to do what I need to do.

It was -53 outside they say. Here most likely closer to -60. It is afternoon now probably a balmy -50 out.

I am getting dressed for the outdoors I need to chainsaw wood and survive that. Come in defrost and go out to chop.

Just finished chainsawing and transported wood and saw to the chopping block. I even managed to get snow for melt. I had to, I need a coffee. My water filter is frozen. It seems I have a demon cat that tore down my weatherproofing, allowing frigid air into my main floor.

I would be lying if I told you that didn’t hurt. I went back outside after a ten-minute warm-up break.

The first log I tried to chop the splitting maul just bounced off. The last one too.

I don’t think I know enough words to describe the pain I am having today.
