I think there will be more smiles when the smoke clears.

I could smell smoke it was 1:00 AM. My super expensive Blaze king woodstove was burping smoke. When I opened the door my brand-new rope gasket failed and was actually on fire. I had to find gloves fast. By the time I got back 2 minutes later my house was full of smoke. London fog thick smoke. A few seconds later my on sale alarm sitting on my desk went off.

I opened doors and windows all over while guarding them against escapee cats. It was -18 outside may be cold enough to kill them. What a gong show. The good news the greenwood had ignited. This incident at least had helped me to decide where to mount the smoke alarm, in the window to my loft. That was the last place to be cleared of smoke.

The bad news I would have to go through this again in a few hours when it was time to feed the fire. Yup I love the pioneer life.
