No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.

Hal Borland

I went out to feed my winter birds, they have moved on the jug was full from the last feeding. It seems winter has gone. The grass was a little crunchy walking over it this morning.

I have coffee beside me, cats are fed and watered, as I said outside birds are fed again, but gone. For me in a few minutes, a bowl of cereal.

Then to decide what to do with my day. It’s looking like another Firman day. I would like to get rafters up on the back deck. It is only then I can decide to make the horrible trip to a city teeming with infected. All so I can buy clear panels to put over the rafters. I have dreams of making that a three-season porch. A place I can grow a few veg in a bug-free environment. I dream of sitting out there laughing at the swarms of mosquitos trying to steal my blood, watch as cabbage moths try to get through to leave eggs on my Kale growing in tubs. For now just a dream. I can’t even imagine how much that screen would cost.

A place where my firman could run without a cover, ya now I am dreaming there is always going to be sideways rain and snowstorms trying to get in. It was a nice thought.

Back to reality, I am drinking three-year-old coffee. Coffee I had out in my shop for when I wanted to make a cup out there. It seems fine. I haven’t died yet, it did help remove the hatchet that was buried in my skull, felt like. I had a bad headache all night not much sleep happened.

Will, I ever get all that done, I hoped so?

I got the rafters ready to put up today. I know spring rains are coming and the wood was fresh cut. I only had a little stain and a lot of used motor oil, so I mixed them together and applied. I will leave them out in the weather for a few days. Will that work? No idea but I will let you know in a couple of days.
