Climate change is happening, humans are causing it, and I think this is perhaps the most serious environmental issue facing us.

Today is the first historic, prolonged, dangerous heat event. One of the many I think in the future.
Fifteen years ago a rancher asked me if I really believed that there is such a thing as climate change and that we are causing it. He laughed pretty hard about that. I remember back how I shook my head in disbelief as he left my store to go back to his methane burping cows. I wonder if he has an EV or is eating Beyond Meat burgers now. I knew then that the situation was worse than they said, and that the Governments of the world were hiding it because such news would hurt the oil-based economy.
Now every car company has an EV. It took Covid to shake up the world to wake them up. Will they listen? I doubt it until it gets bad enough. For the governments of the world, don’t piss on my shoes and tell me it’s raining.
Today will be 29. This is just the beginning.
