There’s so much pollution in the air now that if it weren’t for our lungs there’d be no place to put it all.

Robert Orben

The heatdome is back, more extreme heat warnings. All I see is extreme smoke. At some time today, I need to dig a grave for Stripey. The smoke makes it hard to breathe.

I just went outside, I decided I wasn’t winning with the thistles, so I went back to plan A. Cover them with the big black tarp. It means they will be living under extreme heat and drought, they will not get any of the rain that is coming Friday. It will kill the tops, but not the root system. I will deal with that next year. I have too much to do this year.

The extreme weather has slowed me down, first 49 degrees heat, then air pollution and now smoke. I just moved a tarp into place in the garden, I was covered in mosquitos in seconds. My lungs hurt for being out there only a few minutes.

Not sure why, but this is one of the riffs I taught myself to play.

I wonder where the term hair bands came from, huh.
