A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.
Some say Thomas Jefferson said this. Others say it was Gerald Ford others say it was from Paul Harvey‘s 1952 book “Remember These Things.” Whoever said it is a great quote and accurate.
Some days, like today, I don’t know what I am going to type here. Another grey morning with some intermittent blue skies mixed in. Cats are fed and watered, coffee is made. I need some right now. There that’s better. Since I changed brands of cacao nibs, my coffee got crunchier. It’s not a bad thing. I enjoy the flavour and the crunch. The internet says my memory will get better. I have noticed a difference, but here is the thing, I think remedies, cures even pharma is directly tied to your belief in what you’re taking. If you believe it works for you, it does. It explains the placebo effect.
I don’t much believe in pharma beyond some painkillers. Did you read that one pharma company made 33 billion dollars on VAX, and now we learn that you need an additional shot because the effects are temporary? Even the vaccinated are dying from Covid, so WTF. Did you also know those pharma companies would only provide VAX if the governments of those countries supplied guaranteed no lawsuits?
Wonder why I don’t trust them. Governments or pharma.

The finish on my repurposed Oak. Survived being caught in the hail storm. I did get some interesting bubbles on the surface. Some hand sanding should fix that.
