If the world seems cold to you, kindle fires to warm it.

Merry Christmas. I just finished cutting enough logs to get me through Christmas, if I ration.
While transporting them I got winded so bad I worried about my heart. Chainsaw idling to keep my predator at bay, I rested on a plastic tub long enough to have the strength to go back inside.
I layed on the floor in front of the fire with the boy cats for a few minutes. Then back outside to stack. So why stack just to split them and stack them in the sled to bring them inside?
One time I didn’t and an unexpected blizzard came in. It was hard to find the wood buried in deep snow drifts.
After stacking them on the sled it’s time to bring them inside and stacked one more time so the heat from the fire will melt the snow off and help dry the logs a little more.
I haven’t chopped yet. I will do that later in the day. Feels like -30 (acutally -38) out there now. By tonight it is supposed to go down as low as -46 with the windchill.
So why do I chop wood broken neck, broken back and a lot of other broken parts? Same answer as always needs doing.
Finished chopping for today. Back at it Christmas Day.
