I don’t want to spend my life on an ice cube.

Johnny Weir

Just one more sleep to warmer temps.

I sort of hope that is true. I am officially tired of the cold this season. It is 4 degrees inside. I could have got up at 2 AM and loaded wood into the fire. I did not,  I am rationing wood.

The forecast can always change for the worse.  -18 tonight then starts a cycle of freeze-thaw which means my driveway will melt then freeze and become a sheet of ice.

When that happens later in the week there will not be any getting out of my driveway, maybe no travel on the roads.

I have said many times here, spring thaw is better all at once. A week of overplus ten usually melts the snow. That doesn’t happen until Easter most years.

Since climate change, thawing can happen in any month during winter, even Christmas day.

Just had a breakfast pizza, it was satisfying, along with coffee all prepared on the woodstove.

The snow forecast for Friday and Saturday never showed up. Probably means it will all fall at once later.

Last night was a tough night, I almost choked while I slept. A true Bon Scott event without alcohol.

Difficulty breathing now. Still got my woodcut for the night.
