Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.

Ten.

Ten is the temp that is colder than the sum of my blankets. I spent most of the night shivering.

I woke with more than my daily allotment of pain. Joints hurt, muscles hurt and more.

Cats still got fed, and watered. Coffee was made, cardboard retrieved, rolled up and put in fire. I had over filled the firebox with wood pellets. I had left them overnight to dryout.

Cats of course made them wet and lumpy. Again don’t ask.

I knew I would need a fire today. I hoped the cardboard I squeezed into the top of the firebox was burning I will check after coffee.

I made 3 attempts to start thr fire no luck so far. I would have to retrieve a half a cup of dirty engine oil and pour that over the wood that was on top of the pellets.

I will do that later got plenty of other things to do first.

Overnight it was colder than they said and snow came that wasn’t supposed to happen.

Today is game day. I will finish my coffee, gas up the gen, pull the rope, and try to finish the game I started last week.

I realized I really wanted to play the sci-fi space adventure Mass Effect. A game I have played through a few times.

All three and even the fourth one Andromeda. I look forward to the next version but I doubt I will live to see it.

I am sure it is years away.

I just filled the gen and checked on my project. The glue failed. Thinking back there was a day it was -3 inside, the glue must have froze. I drilled a few holes made some measurements, secured the project with screws. That should hold it.

Of course thats a one day delay.

The good news I get to use my new pillow for gaming today.
