I like coffee because it gives me the illusion that I might be awake.

The cold didn’t leave, but is tolerable. Enough for me to chop ice and snow for melt in my bathrobe and snow boots.

No fire to melt on, just room temp.

I have more freight at the post office, but one package is lost between Ontario and here. I will wait another day before going in.

Today I would like to wire the 12v port by the bed. I found the spool of red wire just need to find the black, some connectors hold downs and screws then I am ready.

I put the shelf up last night in the dark. Couldnt wait. The best part I have a cup holder,  and soon I can charge my phone laptop and tablet right by the bed.

Oh and most important besides the cup holder I can monitor battery bank voltage. No more squinting accross the room trying to read the tiny voltemeter at my desk.

I have been working for an hour or more. Most of that just hunting for parts. The problem is I put them all in a safe place. Only I don’t keep safe places in memory.

Every hunt is more like detective work. I think where would I have put those, what is the most logical place. I start looking there.

I also try to remember what I was doing with what I am looking for last. That unfortantely that method is becoming less reliable as I get older.

Now I know why I like crime mysteries so much. Sadly the only crime here is that my memory has been stolen.

I managed to run the wire through the floor, and over to the new shelf. I still need to secure the wire to the wall, solder, shrink tube and mount the new panel.

As soon as I search for screws.

Wires are soldered. Just need to mount the panel and connect it to power.

Panel is wired and mounted. I still have 24 hours to wait to use it. I cracked some of the wood when I added screws. Glue and clamps have been added.
