There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.

Bernard Williams

In the morning; when cats get fed, water for coffee is boiled, and a morning fire gets lit. This morning wasn’t any different from many others, I made coffee, added water to cats’ bowls, and took a few pictures of the sunrise.

It is Sunday, traditionally video game day. Today I will hopefully spend a few hours working on my tiny house design. That depends on the sunlight and my solar panels.

As you can see, the snow is almost gone. There is still lots of ice, and the temps at night still cold this week. There is more wood exposed, but still frozen to the ground.

Later in the day, not yet noon. More snow is falling. I tried to cook the last couple of pizzas, but they were fuzzy. Now they are helping to heat the house.

I am cooking a giant pancake instead. The mix was sitting in the pantry, open, for only two years or so. Does that go bad?

Soon to find out.

I am still in the fireroom with my giant pancake. I should search for the flipper. Instead, I used a spoon to flip it.
It wasn’t pretty, but it got done. By the time I was done, I had scrambled pancakes. Still tasted great, and it was mostly cooked.
