Procrastination makes easy things hard, hard things harder.

Mason Cooley

Under a continued heavy rainfall warning, I tell myself that if I do some writing here, I could escape some of the other things I need to do today.

It’s a lie I told myself. I need to get my water filtration system rebuilt and setup in a new location. Add water.

I have litterboxes to deal with floors to sweep, laundry to bag and tag, garbage to bag. I need to vacuum my loft.

Will I get it all done? Probably not. Do I need to? Yes, all needs doing.

Biggest things, water filtration. Why? No water for cats or coffee. Please don’t make me choose.

Stage one water filter done. New tubing, filters cleaned and disinfected with peroxide. Even added a chunk of window screen to filter out plants and swimming bugs. Caught one.

The water passes through two pressed carbon filters during stage one. Stage two water passes through even denser pressed carbon filters.

One day I hope to add a ceramic filter between the two and make it a one pour system.

Pour dirty water in one end and collect clean drinking water on the other automatically. Got all the parts here except the lumber. Burned all that for heat to survive the winter.
