Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

Carry the big log, chop the big log

Not really good at quitting stuff, like chopping wood. The pain was intense.

Needed doing. The best part is when you chopped the last log of the day. The worst part finding one more piece of firewood that I missed.

This is not easy wood to chop, knotty hard wood that needs the splitting maul sledgehammered through right down the tiniest piece.

I have ten more even bigger pieces left. Today I chose the log with the least amount of knots. Leaving the worst still in the pile.

Oh well this is the life I chose, just wasn’t counting on aging.
