With cats fed and watered it was time to start another fire. It really wasn’t that cold, but enough for a fire, besides no fire no coffee. Good reason to get started.
The kettle was full of filtered snow water. I had enough extra yesterday to pour some into the filter system.
Yes the cats got filtered water too. The outside bird feeder was filled, so my winter birds would be taken care of. Like I have said many times here, it was a trade.
I give them food and they sing when I go outside. They even warn me when a predator comes close. True story.
I went all in with the fire. Every scrap of wood left in the fire room went in. I cut three small boards they went in too.
Soon I would be gassing up the gen. There really wasn’t going to be much sun for the next few days.
With the kettle getting warm, it was time for the next chore. Today I am going to leave it at that.
