Into each life some rain must fall.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

All my parcels are in at the village. I went out to inspect the driveway. It was much worse than expected.

6 inches of wet snow, ice and rain coming down. I wasn’t going anywhere.

The snowplow hadn’t been here for days, again.

Oh well, I have enough catfood to last the weekend, and enough ramen to keep me going. Most important I had coffee, filters and whitner.

I was good. Even had enough fuel to keep the gen running.

Today the cats been fed and watered, snow and firewood gathered.

Some boards cut up and made into kindling then lit on fire. Inside the woodstove of course.

The kettle was full of store bought water, along with the big bowl full of snow were sitting on the woodstove getting warm.

Me, well I am resting by the fire, gathering energy for my next task.

The gen needs a filling and starting.

During the night an amorous cat had loved a bunch of stuff off the shelves and on to the floor. I needed to pick all that up and resort it all back into the bins that used to contain them.

I needed to cut up a few more boards for later. Or even better cut them later. Ya you already know how that went. I cut another ten feet of board, ready for the fire.

I also filled a 5 gallon bucket with used cat litter pellets to put on the hot coals. That would keep the fire burning all day on low.

I learned watching a series online that St. Sebastion was the patron saint of pain. I will need to contact him. Now that I cut more wood, I really need to ask for some relief from the pain.

Coffee and breakfast needed making. I needed to lay down to lessen the pain in my back. Then I could go back to killing evil warlords and monsters. MGSV

The kettle was showing a little steam escaping, almost hot enough to fill the thermos. Then onto the next thing.

Catbowls now filled with snow were put on the stove to melt. Cats would have more water soon.
