The truth is something that burns. It burns off dead wood. And people don’t like having the dead wood burnt off, often because they’re 95 percent dead wood.

I am wrting this late tonight. I just went outside because I heard noise that sounded more than wind gusts. I was concerned that the fire had made it down to my land. It was just wind and a lot of smoke. The noise was a hunk of aluminum siding tore half off by gusty wind.

Gusty wind during a wildfire is bad for a lot of reasons, some I just learned online. It can push a wildfire downwards, that preheats the front of the fire, it also pushes out firebrands forward to light more fires. Small chunks of burning material. The biggest thing feeds more oxygen to the fire making it hotter. Like a bellows to a forge.

I tried to find out more info about the fire. It was if it never happened no reports, no mention of it anywhere. No emergency alerts no info anywhere. It was like they were hiding it. The heavy smoke told me it was still there.

Near midnight. I just g9t an emergency alert over my phone. Apperantly two fires have now merged into a giant one. Both heading my way. The worst part is has crossed the Peace River.

10 PM wind has pickep up.
