Today both a heat warning and a smoke warning. Too hot to run the gen for any extended time. I ran it for a few hours yesterday, it got beastly hot. I sure wish that battery would arrive. According to UPS, it won’t arrive for another 8 days.
It is 11:30 AM, and it is already 26 inside. When it gets 34 outside this afternoon, it will be unbearable inside. No opening windows with the heavy smoke surrounding the house. I just have to sit in front of my little USB rechargeable HEPA air purifier and my rechargeable fan.
Not much will get done. Tomorrow, cooler weather and storms arrive that will bring the onslaught of the winged bloodsuckers. So far this summer, there have been remarkably few. Instead, we have had the threat of wildfires and smoke without end since early May. I am on the flight path for the water bombers I heard twice yesterday. There is a wildfire close by.
After the storms, there will be more.
