Pale amber sunlight falls across
The reddening October trees,
That hardly sway before a breeze
As soft as summer: summer’s loss
Seems little, dear! on days like these.

It is just after 3 PM. I went to the village and town. Bills were paid, groceries, fuel, and wood pellets were purchased.

I had hoped I could order two more solar panels, there wasn’t enough money left, unless of course me and the cats stopped eating. I did purchase the bolts I would need to mount the panels I couldn’t afford, but did buy the pole I needed for the angle support.

October was a long month  it is when the snow and cold arrives. I didn’t have a heater yet.

I needed to get one of those ordered first and more catfood. All the groceries have been hauled up, but are still waiting for unpacking.

After filling 5 gas cans, and lifting 3 heavy bottles of water into the van my back was done. I really don’t know where I found the strength and energy to haul the groceries up. I am in so much back pain I had to lay down.

My coffee was still down stairs. It was 6 million miles away.

As you can see in the pictures it is grey and the rain came down  and according to the forecast we have about ten days of that coming.

I noticed more geese leaving and the leaves have started falling off the trees, usually that means snow is not too far away.
