Grit is living life like it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Angela Duckworth

It used to be my life was a sprint. I was even a long distance sprinter. In grade school I was an anomaly. A jock with a brain.

During my time in the Navy I broke a record the fastest and the slowest 1.5 Mile run. The slowest when I caught the super virus during basic. A mutation of all the cold and flu virus from all over Canada brought to boot camp by new recruits.

My life has always been a desparate driven urge to keep going till things got done. Now it’s a slow race to get the smallest tasks done. The number of tasks I get done seem to be less and less or maybe it is because they take a lot longer to accomplish.
