I am laying in bed trying to recuperate from this morning chores. Catching my breath is difficult. My back is in screaming pain.
The good news is cats are fed and watered, fire is started, one big block of ice, a water bottle brought up to thaw. One more to go. Catfood was brought up from the van, firewood brought down.
I need to go out and sweep solar panels, maybe carry a 5 gallon can up for the gen. I could run it today for a few hours, but definitly not for the next two days.
I also need to find more firewood. I think there is an old 2×10 by the solar panels.
Well it’s back to work. It’s done. All of it. Even filled a big bowl of snow and put it on for melt. Solar panels are producing 9 Amps of power. After seeing that I decided not to run the gen. That turned out to be a good decision. It didn’t get warmer, it got colder.
That would have been bad for the gen. I don’t think we will see the -25 warm up today. We are heading for 40 below and probably worse.
Water for cofffee is on and breakfast, that is well earned today. If I see my solar batteries hit 85% today I will shoot a few criminals later. Be safe stay warm.
