Todays challenges. Melt a gigantic bowl of snow on a single burner camp stove. Thats not the challenge, gettinng it into 2 liter bottles, while holding a funnel that barely fits.
Challenge accepted. First thing cut the top off the two litter bottle to fit the funnel .badly done but done.
I have a stack of 2kg yogurt tubs I use to hold my coffee cup in place. I flipped those. The two liter bottle fit inside.
First pour done, cats water was ready. Next job melt more for coffee. Kettle is on the boil.
The thing about snow melt it is not clean. Little bits of foreign matter of unknown origin included.
Usually I filter the water through pressed carbon filters to purify it. That wasnt possible today, my bamboo coffee filter would have to do the trick.
