Water is the driving force of all nature.

I cut a lot of pallet wood this morning. I needed it. Mins 29 arrived last night not tonite as predicted. I didn’t sleep more than a couple of hours.
An hour and ten minutes according to my smart watch. Cats are fed, fire started, first load of snow is melting on the woodstove.
I plan to video game later, but first I needed to bring in snow covered pallets. I was not looking forward to that it is at least -25 out there and with my sore lungs it was going to be bad.
Pallets are in. The last one was heavy. Filled with leave and dead tall grass, and even an old cardboard box frozen to it. Made me happy all that would burn.
Now I am baby sitting snow bowls, not because I am worried about bowls getting knocked over but because my cats and me are thirsty.
The other reason is I want to collect a second bowl from outside while stove is hot. That will be messy. The big bowl will be warm when I put down in the snow to fill.
The messy part is when I put that bottom snow encrusted bowl back on the woodstove. I could wait but by the time that melted off the stove would be cold.
Because this is the version I can play, one of only two things.
Yup got my next load of very heavy snow. I decided to loosen the frozen pallets by swinging the back of my splitting maul at it.
Yea that made me tired and caused some chest pains. I did get one and I got a 5 foot 2×10 as a consellation prize. The other pallet seemed frozen to an old tarp. It easn’t coming today.
It seems I can still cause minor back pain to become extreme back pain.
Those are the last of the old pallets. Btw Jan Feb, Mar are the coldest months. It didn’t I would long out of food by then depending on the mail strike.
I had food ordered from Amazon but I believe that there will be a huge backlog, and then the unhappy union workers will be moving slower I imagine.
