A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?

Yup snother fire, gathered more snow. It is -28 with a breeze. That makes the windschill really f,in cold.

Really crazy to go out wearing just sweat pants, bathrobe, summer gloves, and snow boots.

As you will see it is before sunrise.

The fire is burning too hot, most times thats not a bad thing. It can clear a chimney of creosote. I put too much fuel in the fire. It is bad because fuel is what I am in need of. I put a  bag of pelletts that had been in my shop for over a year so they must have been super dry,  I also added a lot of palette wood.

Now the good thing, the sky looked clear, for solar that was great my batteries were way too low. They might just generate the power I needed.

The cats have fresh snow melt, and I am almost ready to go make coffee and breakfast for me. The fire is still burning hot but is less than it was when I was worried.

Just melting snow for the two cats that live in my kitchen. They keep the mice out and guard the food bin. They wanted to live in there.

I am back at Rod’s Diner, the place I heat my water for coffee, make hot food. It is just a one burner propane campstove sitting on my desk. It works for me.

Today it will make hot water for coffee, and porridge. Later it will heat soup or beans depending on what I feel like.

So you are wondering why I am not doing this on the wood stove today. While i was standing there near the fire my bathrobe was smoking almost ready to ignite.

Today was definitly a propane cookstove day. First and second pours through the cone filter are done. One more and I can relax a bit. It has been two hours since I crawled out of bed.

The solar panels are making 5 Amps and increasing.  If it can get up to ten or more, the panels will make enough to keep me going.  I just checked the panels are generating over 15 Amps.
