500 lbs a day

I called to see if my trailer was going to be delivered soon. My trailer man (who doesn’t want to be identified, witness protection maybe?) tells me the story about how he broke his leg on Sunday. The poor man had to lay on the ice and wait four hours for an ambulance. It was midnight before he could out of the hospital.

He has to go back on Friday and get a cast put on. So after listening to his story and identifying with his pain and woes.

I asked “So your not bringing the trailer this week?”

Okay  so I am little excited about building my Tiny House. In spite of all the challenges that am facing, with skills, finances, time and PATIENCE. I think this will be fun, something I have had in short supply in the last year.

So I get to save on electricity, heating, save fifty or sixty paces to the bathroom (big thing as I get older) , have the ability to pick up and move at a moments notice and have fun doing it. And the down side is where?

Oh yea a pool table is out. I haven’t played pool since my bar days no problem.

I am redesigning the entire house trying to learn Google Sketchup (Now Trimble) as I go. I will post pics soon. I decided to make it an almost timber framed tiny house. That should add to the learning curve.

I know you are thinking that will make it heavy. It is going to be stinking heavy anyways. I have ten thousand pounds of axles.

Soon I will be laying out plumbing. I have decided to build a second small building that will house a cistern for water. I might even set that up for laundry and a bathtub. I will lay that out in future designs. It may even end up up being a small earthship so I don’t have to keep it heated. It was something else I researched. I could even build a cistern trailer since in Alberta I can haul two trailers. Just kidding.

Soon I will write about something useful to other TH builders.

Take care Rod
