It has begun.

The weather people, I don’t dare say weatherman anymore cause that aint politically correct, good engrish huh.  They Said we were going to have a snowstorm. Some of them said we were going to have a little some say a lot. As you can see my solar panels can tell the weather. When there is snow on them it’s snowing, when their wet it is raining, when there is frost on then it’s cold. My solar panels are more dependable than the weather reports sometimes. Especially our federal Government weather website that likes to give warnings after the fact most times.

I mentioned two keywords here politics and government, on purpose. I don’t like to get involved in either. Yesterday I walked into a campaign office of a local politician and told my story to some campaign workers. The story of abuse at the hands of healthcare providers. Abuses fostered by the provincial Government squeezing doctors to reduce health care costs. How do they do that ? Only one way, reduce or deny health care.  that is exactly what happened in my case. There is no accountability to be seen anywhere.

I read about the woman in Eastern Canada who died in the waiting room after waiting 11 hours to see a doctor. How many need to suffer before we wake up.

Maybe I will tell the story today about the abuses I went through with my medical care and still going through. But right now I haven’t had my morning coffee and my solar batteries are low. I need to start the generator, and make some coffee.

Yup I just did that stupid thing I do. I emptied the wood wheelbarrow in to the log hoop. Now for those of you that are new here, it means I immediately need to feed that compulsion I have and chop more firewood. Gotta keep that wheelbarrow full. It is still snowing out there the forecasts have been downgraded, so we are not supposed to get that much. It is nice to have some extra wood inside just incase they are wrong.

I didn’t think it was that cold, I just went out with sweatpants a jean jacket. Wind make frosty temps frostier. I was regretting  getting my beard cut as soon as I did.

There was another problem I was like a drug dealer every time I bent over to pickup firewood. Ya you know the joke. I was showing a lot of crack. Plumbers crack.

Blowing Snow and cold was hitting bare skin. It made me move a little faster. I got my wood done. Got back inside. Went out one more time to sweep off my solar panels. I was making 1 amp of power barely enough to run my laptop. I will have to run the generator.

I thought I would talk about me and the medical system today, but I am not. I am going to talk about my new  little blender. I just ground coffee, Then I made kale smoothies I haven’t had those for a long while. The best part I am not wasting juice since I am only making one large cup at a time. It chopped kale some orange juice and a pear no problem I was impressed. There was a comparison on utube. I just didn’t get it. A woman was comparing this blender magic-bullet with another blender with twice the power and claiming the little blender wasn’t good. Which car is faster a stock 63 Volkswagen Beetle or a stock 69 Camaro RS. I have owned both cars, it’s really a no brainer. I was happy with the results it chewed through tough kale  and the pear no problem.

I got to spend some time in my workshop today ripping, planing and chopping some pine for the stove cover project. I also got to try my new mask that works better than every thing I have tried previously. The full face leaks and I got sawdust in my lungs The little mask fits better and has disposable filters. I am sure they wear these in China for disease prevention. The mask worked great for wood working I did get a little sore around the ears, and I also had the typical fogging problem when I wore safety glasses But even with my long beard it kept the dust out.  Best thing its washable. After seeing the picture below I decided the long beard has to go. Ya I know, I am so vane I probably think this blog is about me, wait it is. I had to quit due to back pain again. I lasted an hour. I would have rather kept going.

Tomorrow I will be drilling pocket holes and assembling the frame.
